The 6th featured NatuReef® aquarium is a 90 gallon reef tank. The tank has been set up for a year and a half and has never had a water change. The filter is a standard wet dry type filter with the 3 gallons of bio-balls. A custom made triple skimmer. Custom made cabinet and lighting hood. The evaporated water is replaced by a RO DI water filter which is manually put in a 5 gallon top off fresh water container. A simple float valve automatically replaces evaporated water. The substrate is a 3 to 4 inch thick fine grade oolitic aragonite sand from the Bahamas. This tank is a mixture of several popular filtration philosophies including a wet/dry filter, live sand and a biological denitrifer. AK uses all NatuReef brand products and has had nothing but hands off success.

Lighting	2-175 w 10k metal halides and 2 110w VHO actinic bulbs. Lunar lighting by Solar 1000
Temperature	75-77 deg. With a drop in type 1/4 hp chiller.
pH 7.9-8.2	Average pH is around 8.0.
Phosphates - 0 ppm
Nitrates - 0 ppm	Kept at zero with a combination wet/dry and biological denitrifer
Calcium 450 ppm	NatuReef®'sReef Former Powder dosed manually helps maintain pH.
Iodine	NatuReef®'s Iodine Plus - 2ml per day with dosing system
Iron	NatuReef®'s Iron Plus - 2ml per day with automatic dosing system
Water Changes	Still waiting to do a water change.....

Front right side shows a nice Colt Coral which has had to be cut back several times because of uncontrollable growth. The small leather coral on the right side of this picture has doubled in size in 8 months.

The acropora shown in the upper right corner of this shot has grown steadily since it was introduced into the tank 5 months ago. AK maintains a steady Calcium level and this acropora shows it by growing nice thin straight branches.
